Education for the Future at The King’s School
This King’s School Shenzhen International event was over-subscribed and more than 1000 friends and families attended the morning and afternoon sessions at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriot Hotel in Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
Founding Executive Principal, Geoff Cocksworth, took the audience through the history of The King’s School, Canterbury, the importance of a holistic co-curricular education, and how we will inherit the rich heritage from Canterbury to bring a world-class, all-round 21st century education to Shenzhen.
John Astbury, Head of Pre-Prep, introduced the richness of our bilingual EYFS curriculum, which places emphasis on active, play-based learning to develop skills, knowledge, concepts and confidence in our children.
Also present at the event were Cindy Walters, architect for our Shenzhen campus, who has won numerous awards for her designs around the world, and Richard Craggs, Founder of NomNom, the catering service provider for our school.
Thanks must be extended to the media who were present to cover the event.
