Over the course of 10 days and 9 nights boarding on campus, the programme participants will learn to fly cutting-edge drones, master the programming and operating of the latest generation of robots, and take part in a diverse range of physical activities, all in a fully English-immersive environment. In addition to increasing their knowledge in leaps and bounds, the Summer Programme will also be a wonderful adventure for all who take part.
A Paradise for Young Scientists: Enter into the World of Next-Generation Robots and Drones
At the KSS Summer Programme, the DJI curriculum will form the starting point of children’s exploration of the scientific realm. During their hands-on classes, participants will learn to design, programme, and operate the latest generation of robots, encouraging their love of science and creative thinking. Taking part in the Robomaster challenge, programming Tello drones, and flying Mavic 3 and Phantom drones will ignite the love of science innate to every child.
A Diverse Offer of Physical Activities: Experience British Sport and Unlock your Athletic Potential
As part of the Summer Programme, children will get to play tennis, try their hand at golf, take swimming lessons in our pool, and join in various other physical activities. Guided by our professional coaches, they will not just experience sport in a distinctive environment, but also unlock their athletic potential and develop their competitive spirit.
Spread your Wings and Fly: Improving English and Building Confidence to Speak
In the fully English-immersive environment of the programme, our British teachers will employ a range of interactive activities to improve the participants’ spoken and written English and to help them overcome barriers to their language learning. By building their confidence to communicate and speak to groups in English, the programme will lay a solid foundation for their ability to communicate internationally in the future.
Boarding and Personal Growth: Experience International School Boarding Life
During the Summer Programme, participating children will live in the KSS Qianhai campus’s modern and well-equipped dormitory, protected by 24-hour security and provided with healthy and nutritious meals by our five-star catering team. In this setting, they will experience greater independence, increasing their ability to take care of themselves and improving their interpersonal communication skills, including with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Programme Closing Exhibition: Presentation of Certificates and Programme Recap
At the end of the programme, parents will be invited to our campus to attend a special exhibition and closing ceremony, where they can see what their children have been doing during the past 10 days. Every participant will also be presented with a certificate for completing the programme to serve as a memento of their wonderful summer experience.
Programme Information and Registration Guide
The first overseas campus of an ancient British school, The King’s School Shenzhen provides its students with a beautiful learning environment, equipped with all the facilities and learning resources needed for an outstanding 21st-century education. Our Qianhai campus is the venue for our Summer Programme and is thus the place where the participants will explore science, further their personal development, and build wonderful new friendships.
- Programme age range: 8-13 years old
- Places available: 60 (registration will close once all places have been given out)
- Programme dates: 1 August – 10 August 2024 (10 days, 9 nights, fully boarding)
- Programme fee: 19,500 RMB per person (Early Bird price, before 30 April: 17,550 RMB per person)
*Fee includes:
- KSS Summer Programme Course Fee;
- Programme Boarding & Meals Fee;
- Programme Excursion & Miscellaneous Activity Fee.
*Fee does not include:
- Transport to and from our campus at the beginning and end of the programme;
- Personal Insurance Fee;
- Activities that are not part of the programme and other personal expenses.
